Our History

Chung Ling High School Model United Nations Club was established on the 14th of March 2013. The founding of the club was inspired by a senior (now graduated) that had the urge to find a platform where students could express their opinions freely, and could also benefit from doing so. The founding of the club was attended by then vice president of the United Nations Association Malaysia (UNAM) Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Razali Ismail. Fast forward 12 years to today, and we are still continuing the legacy of producing a new generation of speakers, who are not afraid to voice out their opinions and do not back down easily.

MUN is all about creating solutions to overcome global issues faced. Therefore, this short yet meaningful phrase was chosen as our club motto.

The Club Now

Over the years, the Chung Ling High School Model United Nations Club has been constantly exposing our members with myriads of global issues, public speaking, world history and exciting debates. Annually, our club will hold MUN conferences which are open for students from other schools to participate in. Aside from that, we have always been sending our members to attend conferences in other school, states and countries too! For instance, , NanShan MUN 2016, NanShan MUN 2018, Tenby Penang MUN 2018 ,Taylor's Model United Nations 2022, Tenby Ipoh Model United Nations 2024, BEESMUNC 2024 and many more. As a matter of fact, most members who attended the conferences victoriously won Best Delegate awards, Most Outstanding Delegate awards and Honourable Mentions.
